Early Life and Education

In Oda, Ghana, Kwame Eugene Marfo was born to his parents, Alex and Juliana Marfo. Because of his passion in music, he began singing in church at a very young age. There, he also acquired the skills to play the drum, piano, and guitar. Because of his passion for music, Kuami Eugene decided to leave school and spend more than two months learning music in a studio located in the Eastern Region. He did this without alerting the school officials or his mother.

After it was determined that he had missed school on many occasions, the school ultimately decided to expel him. He received his secondary education at the Salvation Army Senior High school in Akim-Wenchi. The young musician, who received his further education at Ghana Telecom University, spent his childhood in the neighborhoods around Fadama, which are located in the suburb of Accra.

In 2016, Kwami Eugene participated in the fifth season of the reality competition program MTN Hitmaker in Ghana. During that season, he finished in third place overall, which was his best finish. Soon after that, he was given a recording contract with Lynx Entertainment, and the company has since issued a number of singles using his vocals.

Music Career

In 2017, “Angela” received one million views on YouTube, which was the most for any music artist on that label. Additionally, it was reported that it was being played in rotation among the top 10 songs in Ghana. In the song “Adwenfi” by DJ Vyrusky and Shatta Wale, he appears as a featured artist. In 2018, he released a song titled “Confusion,” which was a continuation of the plot that was told in the song “Angela.”

In June of 2018, he came out with the tune “Wish Me Well,” which was a reaction to the critical feedback he had gotten on social media, some of which claimed that he had stolen lyrics from an earlier singer named Ice Prince.

In 2017, he was a guest performer at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Concert, which took place in Ghana on December 25. At London’s Indigo 02 on August 6, 2017, Ghana Music Honors 2017 Edition, December to Remember 2017, Concert 2017, and the 61st Ghana Independence Celebration Show took place.
