Responsibilities:
Analyze raw materials, in-process, and finished products using established testing procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
Develop and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Testing Procedures for the laboratory, ensuring accuracy and consistency in testing protocols
Calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy of results
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are adhered to in the laboratory, including maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation standards
Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
Collaborate with other departments and cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and recommend corrective actions
Conduct physical and chemical analysis of food products, including testing for moisture, pH, and other relevant
Prepare solutions and conduct microbiological analysis of food products, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and protocols
Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
Conduct sensory evaluation of newly developed products, providing feedback and recommendations to the development team

Requirements/Qualifications
Quality Assurance Officer Requirements:
HND/Degree preferred.
A certificate in quality assurance and Chemistry is a plus.
Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar field.
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
Experience in the food industry is a plus
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
