The Ghana Revenue Authority as part of its initiative to broaden tax mobilization has rolled out the linking of Tax Identification Number to the Ghana card.
What measure has been taken for smooth running of the initiative?
The Ghana Revenue Authority to ensure the smooth running of the initiative have stationed Registration Officers of the National Identification Authority at GRA offices across the country.These officers are to register tax payers who do not have Ghana car. The offices are;
- Taxpayer Service centre, Takoradi.
- Taxpayer Service Centre, Asokwa.
- Taxpayer Service Centre, Sunyani.
- Taxpayer Service Centre, Ho.
- Taxpayer Service Centre, Bolgatanga.
- Taxpayer Service Centre, Wa.
Also,a self-service portal has been made available on the GRA platform to allow taxpayers and concurrent holders of the Ghana card to link their TIN to the cards.

Step in linking TIN to the Ghana Card
- Visit https://myid.gra.gov.gh/ to log onto the official page of the GRA.
- After logging onto the page, enter your tax identification number
- Enter your TIN again but this time together with your Ghana Card ID number
- Enter your valid email address and phone number
- Afterwards click on “Send OTP”
- A six-digit identification code shall be sent to you by the GRA
- Enter code into the OTP box
- Then proceed to link TIN with card
How do you check card linking status?
You can check to confirm whether your TIN has been successfully linked to your card or not. You can simply log onto the GRA page on https://myid.gra.gov.gh/ to cross-check.
