University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarships

Every year, University of Winnipeg scholarships are given to international students entering any of the University’s divisions for the first time from Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) to the English Language Program (ELP). The Award is a partial tuition waiver of CAD$3500 and is at the number 10 position.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program
This prestigious scholarship is worth $50,000 per year for three years and is available to both Canadian and international PhD students studying at Canadian universities. You want to know how solid the scholarship is? Up to 3 government funding agencies administer this scholarship and every year more than 150 students are admitted.

Killam Scholarships At University Of British Columbia
Killam Doctoral Scholarships are the most prestigious awards available to graduate students at UBC. Approximately 15-20 awards are made each year to the top doctoral candidates in the Affiliated Fellowships competition. The stipend for the 2018-2019 awards is $30,000 per annum for two years and a $2,000 allowance for research-related travel during the 24 months of the scholarship.

Carleton University Richard J. Van Loon Scholarships
This scholarship of CAD$5000 is given specially to an outstanding international student from an African country every year. Makes the list because the scholarship is open to either undergraduate or graduate students.

MasterCard Foundation Scholarships
MasterCard Foundation and Canadian universities through an agreement admitted African Students on Scholarships for 8 years, beginning in 2012. The Scheme for undergraduate and masters students in Africa will end next year 2020 if it is not renewed. The scholarships has awarded fully-funded undergraduate and Master’s scholarships into schools like McGill University and the University of Toronto. That of the University of British Columbia is still on.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program at University of Toronto
In the 2019/2020 academic session, the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships was awarded to up to 37 secondary school students. The scholarship is offered in the University of Toronto and covers tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support.
York University Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships
The York University scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship to outstanding international students going in for undergraduate studies. The scholarship is worth CAD$20,000 for 4 years. Imagine your tuition covered for all four years of your stay. All you need now is to make up for other expenses such as living expenses.

University of British Columbia’s International Leader of Tomorrow

The award recognizes international students who demonstrate top academic achievement, leadership skills, involvement in student affairs and community service, recognized achievement in performing arts, sports, debating or creative writing, or external academic competitions and examinations. The scholarship covers a student’s cost of tuition, fees and living costs, minus the financial contribution the student and their family can make annually towards these costs.

Quest University Presidential Scholarships

Quest University scholarships recognize the achievement and contributions students have made to their school and local community, contributions we expect they will continue to make at Quest. All students, regardless of their country of origin, are eligible to apply for scholarships and/or financial aid.

Margaret McNamara Educational Grants for Women
About $15,000 Education grants are given every year to women from developing and middle-income countries who, after obtaining their degree, agree to return to or remain in their countries, or other developing countries, and work to improve the lives of women and/or children. Quebec Government Scholarships
The Quebec government, one of the provincial governments in Canada offers scholarships and grants for doctoral research to international students. The Scholarship plans to encourage international students in beginning or pursuing doctoral studies in Québec and provides financial support to leading international Ph.D. candidates in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields.

Jill Sanders Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship support is available for individuals attending or planning to attend an educational institution to undertake a defined program of study directly related to HTA or to individuals participating in an internship program through an HTA agency, Ministry of Health, or relevant Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) on a full-time basis.

Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship at Ryerson University in Canada
The award supports interdisciplinary research and original fieldwork by providing a substantial yearly allowance for research and travel, enabling the Scholars to gain first-hand contact with the diverse communities that can enrich their studies. Annual value up to $60,000 (including an annual travel allowance of $20,000) per Scholar for a maximum of three years
